Walsall defender Rico Henry praised the work that boss Dean Smith has done and feels his approach gets the best out of him.
Henry has also said he was delighted with the new deal and aims to get Walsall into the Champtionship.
Henry signed a new two and half year deal on Friday, keeping him at the Banks’s Stadium until 2018 and told the Express and Star, ‘I`m delighted to have signed. I feel I have been doing well and have managed to score goals.’
“Signing this deal will be good for me, now I just want to keep playing well and get this team to where it wants to be – the Championship.”
He said: ‘When I was in the youth team, the gaffer helped me out a lot. We have got a really good relationship and it`s great for me to know the manager has that belief in me.”
