Walsall today announced that first team coach Dean Holden has left the club to become assistant manager at Bristol City.
The move will see Holden, 37, work with existing assistant John Pemberton and be reunited with head coach Lee Johnson, who he succeeded as Oldham boss in 2015 when Johnson joined City.
Holden played for the Saddlers between 2012 and 2014 where he made twenty nine appearances, scoring two goals.
Everyone at Vital Walsall wishes Dean all the best for the future.
Now it gives us the chance to appoint a more experienced head to help Whitney with his managerial education.
