Walsall have today announced the signing of Bristol City winger Rory Holden on a season long loan following a trial spell with the club.
Bristol City have the option to recall him in January.
Holden is described as a striker but has played as a winger in all our pre-season games so far.
Rory started his career at Derry City and the Northern Irish attacker impressed watching scouts as he secured a move to Bristol City.
His time at Ashton Gate has been limited and found himself on loan at Barrow and Rochdale last season. Where he played a total of eleven games for both clubs but failed to score.
Holden said it was a tough decision to leave Derry for Bristol City in 2015 but his family believe in him. He has aspirations of playing for the Northern Ireland national team as soon as possible.
At just twenty-one years old Holden will be another squad player that Clarke will hope he can get the best out of.
Welcome to Walsall FC Rory Holden.
