The Huddersfield Daily Examiner have today revealed that Huddersfield failed to land Walsall starlet Jamie Paterson with a rumoured £750,000 bid.
Local sources have now confirmed the Terriers are set to up their bid to land their number one summer target.
Pato has been a revelation this season scoring 12 goals from the wing and also topping the League 1 most shots on goal table.
It remains to be seen whether Huddersfield make a fresh bid but anything more than £1.5m would surely turn the heads of the Walsall hierarchy despite their determination to keep our brightest prospect.
