Saddlers wing-wizard Steve Jones may have made his first appearance last Saturday since he injured his groin in December, but the 33-year-old is determined to go from strength to strength.
Speaking to Walsall’s official website, Jones told of how his injury has made him more determined to play.
He said: ‘It’s been a very frustrating three months.
‘I would go as far to say it has been the lowest point of my career as I have never been out for this long.
‘All I want to do now is get out there and play. I have worked extremely hard with the physio over the past few months and hopefully now I can put the injury behind me and start pushing on. It’s time for me to start looking up rather than down now.’
