‘This league is a very competitive league’ – Inside View

|

This week I spoke with @CobblersPast to chat all things Cobblers ready for Saturdays game.

Hows your season been so far?

This seasons hasn’t been a bad season some great players brought in the summer by Keith. A fantastic run in the FA Cup this season which was our best run in 50 years. We reached the 4th round. However, after the replay game with Derby where we lost 4-2 our time has dropped.

Best player?

Vandine Oliver is one of my favourite players at the club at the moment. He is always there at the front winning every header and every ball given to him. But also we’ve got Charlie Good he’s the Cobblers Captain, keeps the cobblers from falling behind many a time.

Pantomime Villian?

Chris Lines, a very experienced player who sometimes just doesn’t portray that experience across when he’s on the pitch.

Favourite ever player?

My favourite ever player is Akinfenea Bayo. He was one of my favourite players as he was the beast and a very strong player I would say he’s the best player I’ve seen at Sixfields.

Last season you finished mid-table in your 1st season back in League 2. Is this league tougher than expected aftee your relegation?

This league is a very competitive league. On Tuesday night the Cobblers Played Swindon and lost 1-0. I had an ex-cobbler watching the game and he said ‘today’s game was a big reminder to me of how physical the games are at this level.”

You currently occupy a place in the play-offs, can you remain there?

Yes I think so. I think this is just a little dip in form.

Predictions for the weekend?
2-1 Cobblers

Finally, one random fact about your club?
In 1965 the Cobblers made it to Division one for the first time in there history.

Thanks to @CobblersPast for answering those, and we wish them the best of luck for the remainder of the season.
