Jeff Bonser has given Kevan Broadhurst the green light to sign a striker if he feels we need one. Of course the voice from the stand is a big yes we do.

However strikers are hard to come by these days and it is doubtful that a reserve striker at a higher league club will have the experience we need. So we are looking high and low for a decent striker.

One possible area we will be looking at is to see if we can find one who is big down under…so to speak. I mean Austrailia of course, the Australian league breaks this sunday, whilst there is a number of British players out there, so of these and other nationality will be out of contract and hence free agents.

One such example is Dwight York who has attracted the attention of Derby County, and todays press state that Dwight has also had offers to use Man Utd’s training facilities whilst he trys to keep fit for this summers world cup. Dwight would be out of our price range I would have thought but there will be other possibilities.

A key figure in any moves could be ex saddler Neil Emblem who has remained in close contact with Walsall since he left. His recent knowledge of the Australian league scene could be vital

so lets watch this space……..
