Keates Confirms Ginnelly Bid

|

Walsall boss Dean Keates has confirmed the club have received an offer for Josh Ginnelly this week and that was the reasoning he was left out the squad today which drew 1-1 with Peterborough United.

Although the club in question wasn’t confirmed we are lead to believe it is Preston North End who are looking to add Ginnelly to their squad when the transfer window opens next week.

Keates told the Express And Star

“Josh is not here today – there are one or two things going on,”

“We have had an offer for him and I had to make a decision that was best for the group. He hasn’t travelled with us.”

“A concrete offer has been tabled and I had to make a decision for the football club and I think that was justified today.”

“What happens over the next two weeks with Josh will happen.”

Ginnelly has scored four times for the Saddlers this season since moving on a free transfer from Burnley. Ginnelly is out of contract in the summer and Walsall have been left with no other option than to accept the bid.
