Walsall boss Dean Keates has praised the “outstanding” 1,498 Saddlers fans that made the trip to Bolton this afternoon.
The Saddlers were defeated 5-2 but the fans stuck with the team throughout and in a month where money is tight you can’t help feel sorry for all that made the trip to Lancashire this afternoon.
Speaking to Express And Star Keates said
“They were outstanding – the fans were absolutely outstanding,”
“The fans were right behind the players and that is what we are going to need now for the rest of the season.
“We always travel well and we need that at home now. We are going into a period of games where we are playing teams who are below us at the moment.
“And we are in a situation where we need to find a win from somewhere. We need that vocal support and encouragement behind us.”
Our fans are amazing and it’s about time the hierarchy realised how important the Walsall fans are.
