Keates Remaining Tight Lipped Over Ferrier

|

Walsall boss Dean Keates is remaining tight lipped over whether striker Morgan Ferrier is available for tomorrow’s crunch game against Fleetwood.

Ferrier has been missing from the side for the last few weeks with a hamstring injury but Ferrier did say on his Instagram this week that he isn’t far away from returning but Keates says it’s a matter of wait and see.

The Saddlers will be without leading goal scorer Andy Cook who is serving the second of his three game ban and with only Gordon available it’s hoped that Ferrier will return to give much needed squad depth.

Speaking to Express And Star Keates said

“We came through the Burton game unscathed,”

“They were all fine after that.

“With Morgan, you’ll have to wait and see.”

“He is just finishing the rehab side – whether the weekend is too soon, we’ll see.”

The Saddlers entertain Fleetwood tomorrow knowing that they will have to try and avoid dropping into the bottom four tomorrow with Portsmouth, Sunderland, Barnsley and Doncaster just around the corner.

The Saddlers currently sit two points above the drop zone with Bristol Rovers just behind us – Rovers travel to Scunthorpe tomorrow.
