Keates – We Are Going In The Right Direction

|

Walsall boss Dean Keates said the club are once again moving in the right direction but knows the league table could look completely different after our next four games.

Following Saturday’s 2-0 victory over Fleetwood the Saddlers sit three points above the drop zone.

We have picked up seven points from the last nine available but now face four sides in the top six with Portsmouth, Sunderland, Barnsley and Doncaster just around the corner.

Speaking to Express And Star Dean Keates said

“We’ve got a tricky run coming up and we will deal with it game by game,”

“It’s seven points from nine. We are pleased with that.”

“We are going in the right direction but you can see how tight the table is.”

“After Tuesday night, it could be a totally different picture being painted after the game. We have shown a little bit of form but we want to build on it.”

Should we find ourselves outside the bottom four following these four games then you would hope we would be able to gain enough points from the remaining six games in order to survive.

Our remaining fixtures are as follows

12.03.19 – Portsmouth (h)

16.03.19 – Sunderland (a)

23.03.19 – Barnsley (h)
