Mark Kinsella has agreed to join Charlton Athletic as part of a three man coaching team been formed by Charlton manager Les Reed.

Charlton have agreed to let him play against Bury on tuesday and against Swindon on saturday if selected. Mark was a key part of the Walsall success story and will be deeply missed. However the club had an agreement with him that they would not stand in his way if a top flight team came calling. Also Charlton is his spiritual home having made over two hundred appearances for the London club.

Walsall have agreed a compensation package but the club will need to find two men to replace Richard Moneys number two, a fine midfielder and a capable coach, whilst the reserves will also be in need of guidance.

We wish Mark all the best, and many thought he was been groomed as Richard Moneys long term replacement so I am for one gutted he is leaving, whilst happy he’s career is heading in the direction it deserves.
