Walsall have today confirmed that Liam Kinsella has signed a new one year deal with the club.

Kinsella’s contract was due to expire at the end of this season but has now committed himself to Walsall until the summer of 2019.

Kinsella came to the forefront during Dean Smiths reign and despite not being able to force his way into Jon Whitneys plans as much last season he has made the right back spot his own following impressive displays.

Kinsella has made twenty seven appearances for the Saddlers.

Kinsella made his Republic of Ireland U19s debut on 25 February 2015 in a friendly match against Azerbaijan Under 19s. He was named in the starting eleven for the match at Shamrock Rovers’ Tallaght Stadium. His second appearance came just two days later in a 2-0 win against the same opposition at the same venue.

He earned his first call-up to the Republic of Ireland U21s in September 2016 but is yet to make an appearance for his country at this age group.

Congratulations on your new deal Liam!
