The wait is nearly over, the League 1 fixture list is out tomorrow!
All is Saddlers fans will be able to get our hands on the fixtures from 9am tomorrow morning.
It’s anticipated that the opening day fixtures will fall on the weekend of August 4th.
Barnsley, Burton and Sunderland will all offer mouth watering games next season whilst from the other direction we can look forward to trips to Wycombe, Luton, Accrington and Coventry.
It will be the Saddlers 11th campaign in League One and our 118th season in the Football League (since we joined in 1892, minus the World War years)
Dean Keates men finished 19th in 2017/18, five places lower than the previous season.
Other key dates for the new Football season
- The Checkatrade Trophy gets underway during the week commencing the 3rd of September 2018.
- The Emirates FA Cup First Round will be scheduled for the weekend of the 10th of November 2018.
- The final day of the season looks set to take place on the 4th of May 2019.
