League Two Worst Defence Faces Worst Attack

|

Maybe we will turn our season around tomorrow……We have been saying that for the past five weeks and still no sign of us finding a winning formula.

It is getting tiresome now and patience is wearing thin but if we are going to score for only the second time in ten hours and win – then tomorrow has to be it!

It is a case of who will perform better….Morecambe’s dodgy defence or Walsall’s dodgy strike force.

TEAM NEWS

MORECAMBE

Luke Conlan missed the Scunthorpe game at the weekend and maybe absent again tomorrow evening.

WALSALL

Apart from Kory Roberts injury we should have a full strength side to choose from. What that side will be is anyone’s guess.

LIKELY LINE UPS?

Morecambe – Roche, Lavelle, Sutton, Old, Tanner, Tutte, Wildig, Cranston, O’Sullivan, Miller, Alessandra

Walsall – Roberts, Norman, Clarke, Scarr, Jules, Pring, Guthrie, Sinclair, Kinsella, Lavery, Gaffney

ONES TO WATCH

MORECAMBE DEFENCE

They have conceded TWENTY goals in their last six games. Pressure is on them to defend better against the Saddlers.

WALSALL STRIKE FORCE

All eyes will be on the Walsall strikers tomorrow evening with only Caolan Lavery scoring out of the four of them this season!

Gaffney, Adebayo and Gordon have all failed to find the net and if we are to start climbing the table they will need to start scoring and FAST!

PAST MEETINGS

The Saddlers and Morecambe have met on just one occasion, with Morecambe winning the game 2-0.

Goals from Jamie Devitt and Tom Barkhuizen gave them the victory in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy.

MATCH OFFICIALS

The match officials have been announced for this tomorrow’s game and are as follows –

REFEREE – JAMES OLDHAM

ASSISTANTS – Geoffrey Liddle and Barry Gordon

FOURTH OFFICIAL – Natalie Aspinall

Oldham only started officiating last season. He spent last season in the National League and impressed Football League chiefs to make the step up – he officiated the National League Play-Off Final.

So far this term he has officiated three games, dishing out twelve yellow cards and one red.

VITAL PREDICTION

MORECAMBE 0-2 WALSALL

Tomorrow night we will begin our climb up the League 2 table – you heard it here first.
