Former Loanee Offered A New Deal At WBA

|

Former Loanee Jack Fitzwater has today been offered a new deal by his parent club West Bromwich Albion.

Fitzwater was out of contract this summer but following WBA relegation to the Championship, new boss Darren Moore has identified Fitzwater as possible backup for his new-look side.

Fitzwater enjoyed a positive loan spell here last season and was one of the few plus points in the second half of the season.

During his time with the Saddlers, Fitzwater played sixteen times scoring three goals.

However, Walsall boss Dean Keates has hinted that he wants experience alongside Jon Guthrie saying that at twenty-five he shouldn’t be the experienced defender.

Given his previous club Wrexham broke records last season for their amount of clean sheets then you have to believe that Deano knows what defence is needed to be successful.

As well as the central positions you would imagine that Deano will (budget depending) be looking to strengthen his full-back positions.
