Our lowest ever attendance for a competitive match has been broken this evening in the Checkatrade Trophy fixture against Middlesbrough Under 21’s.

Our lowest ever attendance before tonight stood at 925 v Oldham Athletic in the same competition last season however tonight’s attendance is 702 with nine ‘boro fans making the long journey.

The Saddlers are currently leading the game 2-1 thanks to goals from Jack Fitzwater and Maz Kouhyar – should the game finish the same then the Saddlers will qualify for the second round of the controversial competition.
