Roberto Martinez no stranger to Bescot and some sources have rumoured that he could well be linked to a return to Bescot. The rumour first broke before the appointment of Richard Money, and was believed to be part of a management move involving Colin Lee. Despite this not happening the name remains linked to Walsall. Despite playing a key role with Swansea this and last season he is falling down the order at Swansea, and if promotion is gained this would seem to speed up his departure.
He could do a very good job for Walsall and has played key role in Swanseas rise out of the basement providing an older creative infulence. In truth I would expect better offers to come in for him than the ones he might get from Bescot.
Tony Thorpe Another name to come up again, the Leciestershire born striker who was prolific with Luton in his early days seems to be surplus to requirements following Colchesters promotion. Question marks however exist with the player only managing a handful of games and even fewer goals in the past season. Former Club Swindon might also be interested since striker Jamie Cureton seems not to want to drop back into the basement at any cost.

At this stage any rumour I feel is just that a rumour since players will want to keep there options open and in the case of Martinez he still has a lot to play for with Swansea. Players are going to be released over the next couple of weeks who maybe of interest it’s wait and see time.
