Clayton McDonald has signed a six month deal at league two club Port Vale.

Manager Micky Adams told the Port Vale official site: ‘These are young players who I feel can add something to the squad and I am pleased to welcome them all to Port Vale.

The 22 year old had a stop start season last season, making only 9 appearances. A broken shoulder as he edged his way back into the starting lineup put an end to his campaign and his time with the Saddlers.

The towering defender joined the Saddlers in December 2009 after a successful loan spell following his release from Manchester City.

Good to see he has found a new club, he has so much more to give.

Good luck Clayton!
