Walsall Head Coach Michael Flynn has been nominated for October League 2 manager of the month which saw his side pick up fourteen points in the league.

The October nominations for the Sky Bet League Two Manager of the Month Award are:

Mike Flynn (Walsall)

Any Walsall fans worried by a winless September and a mounting injury list had those doubts swept away as Flynn guided his side to 14 points from seven games, which included winning all four home fixtures by an 8-2 aggregate.

Dave Challinor (Stockport County)

It is fair to say that Challinor and his side are now up and running after what has been a steady acclimatisation to the Sky Bet EFL. Four clinical victories in October with a clean sheet in each were part of a 13-point haul from six games.

Steve Evans (Stevenage)

Another positive month for Evans and his spirited side who are disproving the notion that their fine start cannot be maintained. They moved into second and were unbeaten on their travels while gaining 14 points from seven games.

Lewis Young (Crawley Town)

Taking over a side at the foot of League Two, Young returned his side to basics, playing two wingers and twin strikers in Ashley Nadeson and Tom Nichols. Four unbeaten games and eight points followed, including a win over promotion chasers Mansfield.

WINNERS WILL BE ANNOUNCED ON FRIDAY 11 NOVEMBER 2022
