Midfielder Has Operation Ruling Him Out Until Christmas

Walsall midfielder Adam Chambers has this week had a successful operation to have a metal plate fitted into his foot to repair his fourth metatarsal – ruling him out until Christmas.

Chambers now 37, looks set for a agonising wait to return to playing following his injury sustained during our opening day victory over Plymouth Argyle.

Walsall boss Dean Keates has said that Chambers is back at the club (on crutches) but his experience and character will help the lads over the coming months.

Chambers has played three hundred and thirty-one times for the Saddlers scoring two goals since his move from Leyton Orient in 2011.

Chambers has played for West Bromwich Albion, Sheffield Wednesday, Kidderminster and Leyton Orient in his career but he has made Walsall his home.

Chambers has been an outstanding stalwart for the club over the past seven years and everyone will join us in wishing him a full and speedy recovery.
