Midfielder Set To Sign New Deal?

|

Vital Walsall understands that Republic Of Ireland youth midfielder Liam Kinsella has agreed a new contract with the club.

Kinsella who has represented Ireland at all youth levels enjoyed his most successful spell as a Walsall player last season featuring in thirty-nine games for the Saddlers scoring one goal.

If Kinsella does sign his new deal then it will be a welcome boost ahead of the team arriving back for pre-season training tomorrow – with Darrell Clarke at point of writing, having just NINE players on his books with first team experience.

Kinsella has been at the club for fifteen years since arriving as a youth player, aged just eight in 2004.

He finally made his Saddlers debut in August 2014 against Bradford City and was named man of the match. His first goal for the Saddlers came in October 2015 against Burton Albion which sent the Saddlers top of League 1.

Liam is the son of former Walsall and Ireland captain Mark Kinsella and the brother of talented English gymnast Alice.
