Our first summer signing Andy Cook has today drafted up the iPhone notes to thank Tranmere FC and the fans for their support over the past two years.

His iPhone notes read

Andy Cook penned a two year deal with the Saddlers and also took to Twitter to show his delight of signing for us and said he is ready for the new challenge!

Cook has been given the number nine shirt ahead of the new season and will be seen as Dean Keates main striker with the boss comparing him to past Saddlers legend Andy Rammell.

Speaking to Express And Star Walsall boss Dean Keates said

“He reminds me a lot of Andy Rammell. He will help us get up the field and the ball will stick.”

“He wins headers – in both boxes – and likes to put himself about. Defenders will know that he’s there. Put balls in the box and he’ll score goals.”

Cook has scored over one hundred and twenty-eight goals in his last seven seasons and will be the much needed fire power we lack up front.

Cant wait to see him wear the famous red shirt.
