Walsall reporter Mr Joseph Masi has today confirmed that the unknown trialist playing centre back on Thursday night during our victory over Dutch giants Ajax is New Zealand international Adam Mitchell.
I couldn't come here though and not have any #saddlers news. Bolton's Adam Mitchell is our mystery defender from the Ajax game. Formerly of Red Star Belgrade, he's still training with the Championship side but is available on a free. Been told he's a v.good player #walsallfc

Mitchell who was born in Croatia started his career at New Zealand side Wanderers and went onto play for Red Star Belgrade, NK Celje and OFK Beograd.
Mitchell came to England in 2017 and joined Bolton Wanderers. He has featured heavily for their Under 23 side and impressed greatly.
He has represented New Zealand at Under 17 and Under 21 level at the World Cup. Earlier this year Mitchell was called up to the senior squad and made his debut coming on as a substitute against Canada.
Mitchell is fighting for a deal with Tom Brewitt, Christian Mbulu and Tomas Egert – I cannot see Keates signing all four. If I had to pick two now it would be Brewitt and Mitchell for me.
Who would you choose out of the current trialists? Head over to our Twitter and Facebook pages to discuss.
