Defender Paul Downing, 20, has put pen to paper on a one year deal with Walsall.
The former West Bromwich Albion youngster, who never made a first team appearance for the Baggies, gained first team experience in a series of loan spells.
Since signin professional terms with Albion back in 2009 he has been on loan to Shrewsbury, Barnet, Hereford and Rotherham, and has now penned a deal at the Banks’ after impressing in his trial.
