Young midfielder Sam Mantom, who helped Walsall stave off their relegation worries, has refused to rule out a return to Te Saddlers according to the Express and Star.

Mantom, who scored three times in thirteen appearances for The Saddlers, has twelve months left on his contract at parent club West Brom, with a further twelve months option in the clubs favour.

The 20 year old told the local newspaper, that he will be striving to prove his worth to The Baggies, but if he were to find his Albion chances limited he would consider rejoining Dean Smith’s squad “You know if you come in and do well you`ll always be on the radar next year. I wouldn`t turn the chance (of coming back) down’.

I’m sure most Walsall fans would be pleased with the idea of Sam rejoining us on loan after an impressive spell, but I’m sure we all wish him well in whatever his future brings.
