Local lad Alex Nicholls, who’s contract is up this summer has agreed to join League two outfit Northampton Town in a two year deal on a free transfer.
The winger had been considering an offer for a twelve month extension with the Saddlers but Northampton have made an approach under the Bosman ruling and Nicholls is set to join up with his new teammates at the start of the official transfer window July 1st.
I’m sure we all wish Alex all the best and thank him for the years he put in for Walsall.
