Walsall have today confirmed the signing of former Wales Under 21 goalkeeper Owen Evans.
Evans becomes our ninth signing of the summer.
Goalkeeper Owen Evans re-joined Cheltenham on a permanent deal in June 2021 but was transfer listed by the club this summer. He made twenty seven appearances for Cheltenham last season.
Before that he played for Wigan Athletic, in his time with the Latics he spent the second half of the 2018/19 season on loan with the Robins, helping the club reach the League Two play-off semi-finals.
His loan stint in Gloucestershire was one of many in his time at Wigan. He also spent time with Witton Albion, Rhyl, North Ferriby United, Sutton United and Macclesfield Town.
He has also represented Wales at under-19 and under-21 level, and also trained with the senior squad for the Dragons.
