Vital Walsall’s player of the season, Richard O’Donnell today said the team were gutted by the recent run of results and devestated that club haven’t reached the play offs after the great start to the season.

Speaking to the Express and Star, O’Donnell said “In January everything was looking really good and it was looking like we were going to get in the play-offs,” he said.

“We have not won the games we needed to win in the last couple of months and everyone is devastated about that to be honest’

We share Richard’s comments and feelings as 2013/14 has turned out quite sour, it’s now a massive summer for Dean Smith and co as we aim to be a top 6 side rather than the more accustomed mid-table side.
