Walsall scholar Joe Cairns last night confirmed he has left the Saddlers to join Swedish Division two side Gottne IF.

Cairns featured for the Under 18’s side last season scoring nine goals including a hat-trick against Wrexham.

Another youngster that might depart is Tobias Hayles-Docherty. We believe he is currently on trial with Rushall Olympic with a view to a loan deal.

Tobias broke into the first team squad in 2017 and made his debut in a 1-0 defeat to Port Vale at The Banks’s Stadium.
