Rotherham are rumoured to have identified Walsall midfielder Erhun Oztumer to fire them back to the Championship.

Rotherham manager Paul Warne is on the lookout for a playmaker and a striker since the departures of Kiefer Moore plus Lee Frecklington and the Rotherham boss has said the club have increased their offer for their number one target, however it remains to be seen whether that target is Oztumer..

Oztumer has rejected three contract offers by the Walsall board and looks set to leave the Saddlers on a free transfer this summer.

Oztumer has become one of the most sought after players outside the top two divisions following twenty seven goals in sixty four appearances for the Saddlers.

Erhun joined the Saddlers in 2016 from Peterborough after starting his career at Dulwich Hamlet.

The Saddlers may look to cash in on their star player rather than let his contract run out.

There’s a lot of rumours of outgoings so far this month, a few incoming rumours wouldn’t go amiss.
