Peterborough boss Grant McCann was full of praise for Walsall keeper Neil Etheridge following a string of world class saves earning Walsall a point yesterday.
McCann compared Etheridge with Gordon Banks following the display.
McCann said “We did enough to win. It is a case of not taking chances and coming up against a keeper playing like Gordon Banks.”
Etheridge has been subject of praise for the last few weeks following his superb displays against Northampton, Bolton and now Peterborough.
Note to Walsall board – GIVE HIM A CONTRACT NOW. Can’t afford to lose another star next summer
