Pope Vale!

|

Here is this weeks Q and A is with Tom Pope, you asked for it (it is 100% made up, and is complete fiction, I hope you enjoy)

Hello Tom, thanks for joining us, how are you today?

Not bad thank you, just roasted some 13 year old on Twitter, it is Friday after all

Great stuff, so how has your season been so far?

It has been a really good season. My calling out of John Stones worked, we are in the play-offs, and I have been banging them in like an in-form Aguero, what’s not to like.

Good to hear, so what has been your highlight of the season? Playing Man City? Competing for promotion? The good cup run?

Oh none of those, it has to be playing against Dan Scarr and Mat Sadler earlier this season. To come up against the two of them in that form is an honour. I left that pitch thinking ‘wow, I can say I played against Scarr and Sadler’ It’s the stuff dreams are made of.

Oh right, so they made that much of an impact did they?

They certainly did. Remember Nesta and Cannavaro? They weren’t a patch on what I faced that day.

You have been with Vale for some time, do you see yourself ending your career there?

Good question. The answer is yes, I hope so. There are plans to build a statue of me outside of the stadium, and also there are whispers that it will be renamed Pope Vale to keep my legacy going strong.

Well that is interesting, finally, how do you think you will get on at the Bescot tomorrow?

I have been having sleepless nights to be honest, the thought if being in Dan Scarr’s pocket is frightnening. Id take a goal, just to know that I have done what seemed impossible a few months ago.

If you couldn’t tell, that was of course 100% all made up by me here at Vital, and none of it was from Tom Pope himself.
