Positive EFL Trophy News – Kory Returns

|

Whilst many of us have spent this evening trying to get into Holby City or Eastenders instead of going to watch the shambles that is the EFL Trophy, some positive news came from the Banks’s Stadium.

Walsall defender Kory Roberts was named amongst the substitutes – fourteen months after his horrific injury sustained against Stoke City in a pre-season friendly.

Even better news was to come as Kory came on as a last minute substitute to a rapturous applause from the seven-hundred and thirty-two Saddlers fans that braved the weather.

The Saddlers went onto record our fourth successive victory thanks to a goal by Dan Scarr.

It was our sixth clean sheet in all competitions this season but the return of Kory will give even more depth to our already formidable defence.

We now face Salford on Saturday hoping to make it five wins on the spin. It’s great to have that winning feeling back, long may it continue!
