Walsall arrived in Bournemouth yesterday, ahead of today’s clash with AFC Bournemouth (KO 3pm)

The Saddlers will be looking to make headway in the league one table, as they sit 5 points adrift of safety in the relegation zone.

They will be without defender Ryan McGivern, who is serving a 3 match suspension for his red card last weekend, whilst Darren Byfield is out and Martin Devaney is a maybe.

The Cherries are sitting in 7th place, on the back of 3 draws, 1 win and loss.

They are without Ryan Garry, Shaun Cooper and Marvin Bartley, whilst striker Michael Symes could feature following injury.

Of the game, Hutchings told the official site: ‘It will be another tough one for us, but we go there having worked hard in our preparation…any run of positive results is vital and that is what we are trying to do.

New skipper Richard Taundry added to the Express and Star: ‘”Obviously every one looks at it and thinks they can beat us. We have to go there, get our heads down and what have we got to lose?’

Walsall go into another game and the Walsall fans will no undoubtedly spend another 90 minutes through gritted teeth. Hopefully Walsall can put in a decent performance and we can see where that takes them.

Mixed defensive news this week as we lost Andrew Davies for good, along with Ryan McGivern’s suspension, but better news with the addition of centreback Andy Butler.

Predicted team: Walker, Macken, Dickinson, Gray, Richards, Taundry, Jones, Smith, McDonald, Westlake, Butler.

Score: Hard to say, but I’m going with a gutsy 2-1 win!

Come On The Saddlers!!
