The Saddlers return to league action tomorrow evening as we face an inform Blackburn side as we try and distance ourselves from the League 1 trap door.

Vital Quotes:

Whitney ”We are looking forward it because it`s a fantastic place to go to.

‘It`s one of those stadiums that – ever since I was a kid – I have looked at.

‘They are a big club that has played at the highest level.

‘But this is a great opportunity for our players.’

Blackburn Team News:

Rovers captain Charlie Mulgrew could miss out after limping off at the weekend. Midfield trio Peter Whittingham, Corry Evans and Marcus Antonsson are all making progress in their respective recoveries, but the game could come too soon for them. Loanees Adam Armstrong and Jack Payne will be hoping for a first start, and Danny Graham could well keep his place up front after netting his 10th goal of the season on Saturday. Harry Chapman remains a long-term absentee

Player to watch: Danny Graham

Although Graham has only scored seven league goals he is in form having netted in his last two games. Graham isnt the same threat as he was in his Derby days but at 32 he will have experience that our young CB pairing wont.

Walsall Team News:

Saddlers have not signed anyone before the deadline (noon) for us to have any new faces in the side for Blackburn trip so it is a case of everyone that was at Charlton, minus Tyler Roberts who has returned back to his parent club.

Player to watch: Erhun Oztumer

Could this be the last time Oztumer is seen in a Walsall shirt with the transfer window slamming shut on Wednesday evening?

The player is out of contract in the summer and has been in fantastic form for the second year running, scoring twelve league goals.
