An air of tension will fill the Huddersfield area, as Walsall fans apprehensively arrive at the Galpharm for today’s clash.

Supporters had to sit through a painful 90 minutes for the defeat to Tranmere a week ago and they’ll have all fingers and toes no to endure a repeat.

Huddersfield are sitting on the back of three losses and two wins of their last 5 league one games and are sitting in a comfortable 5th position in the league table.

The Harriers will be without striker Lee Novak, but midfielder Damien Johnson should return.

The Saddlers will be disappointingly without loanee defender Andrew Davies, who returned to Stoke after tearing a muscle in his thigh. Striker and captain Darren Byfield remains an absentee, but is slowly nearing full fitness.

Hutchings told the official site: ”There has to be belief and we will go to Huddersfield with the same steely determination that helped us to victory at Leeds last season. There is no doubt that Huddersfield are a good side with some quality players. I know their manager, Lee Clark will be looking for a reaction from his side after they lost last weekend.’

Team News: Andrew Davies out so McDonald will likely fill his boots. Brain, Lescott, Smith, McDonald, McGivern, Devaney, Taundry, Richards, Jones, Macken, Reid.

Predicted score: It is getting so tedious to always foresee a Walsall victory, only to suffer a miserable defeat. But we must remain supportive of the team, so i’m going for a 2-1 Saddler win.

KTF Come on the Saddlers!
