The Saddlers make the relatively short journey to managerless Peterborough this evening (weather permitting) hoping to get back to winning ways following Saturdays defeat to Blackburn.
Whitney ‘”We have to make sure we stay in the game and make it difficult for Peterborough tonight because they are a threat.
“They have some talented attacking players, they have pace as well and a lot of goals in the team.
“But we are ready for them. If we can take the energy and belief from the second half against Blackburn forward, we will be a match for any team.”
Posh have caretaker manager David Oldfield in the dugout this evening and it remains to be seen what side he will play however Posh will be defender Ryan Tafazoli who is out with injury. Omar Bogle is pressing for a recall.
Since signing from Luton in the summer, Marriott has scored twenty four goals already this season and is the most feared striker outside the top two divisions.
Saddlers will still be without on loan defender Kristian Bielik and are sweating on the fitness of Joe Edwards who left the field on Saturday with a ankle injury.
All eyes will be on Oztumer this evening as he returns to his former club. Oztumer played well on Saturday and heres hoping hes back to form.
Six out the last eight games between both sides has ended in a draw – four of which have come in our last four visits to Peterborough.
Posh have scored just three goals in the last six games against the Saddlers.
Referee – Lee Swabey

Draw written all over it if its not P-P
I would happily take a 1-1 draw this evening – Marriott for Posh, Oztumer for us.
