Walsall defender Ben Purkiss today said the club would welcome Febian Brandy back with open arms and re-iterated that the staff at Walsall bring out the best in the former Man Utd winger.

Brandy who was sensationally released from his Sheff Utd contract yesterday has been hunted by Walsall since his departure one year ago. The Saddlers landed the talented winger on loan and Purkiss is keen on him to return permanently.

Speaking to The Express And Star, Purkiss said ‘He`s done well for us and has the qualities to easily play at this level.

“Febian would be a great addition and I`d welcome him back with open arms.”

Purkiss said that the management team is second to none and would get the best back out of Brandy whose career stalled at The Blades, ‘Febian`s a good lad who needs managing in the right way, but we have a management team that recognises that and they try to get the best out of people,” said Purkiss.

Walsall are said to be in pole position to re-sign Brandy however now hes a free agent anything could possibly happen, over to you Febs…dont make the same mistake twice!
