Reading Between The Lines He Didn’t Reject Move

|

Former Bristol Rovers midfielder Chris Lines has today taken to Twitter to call the rumours linking him with a last minute move to Walsall as “nonsense”

Bristol Post reported this morning that Walsall boss Darrell Clarke tried a last minute attempt to take the former midfielder with him to the Saddlers but Lines confirmed they only spoke as friends.

Thirty-three year old Lines moved to fellow League 2 side Northampton Town yesterday penning a two year deal.

Lines called Clarke a great manager and a great bloke and thanked him for all his support whilst playing for the Gas.

Lines played over one hundred and forty times for Clarke and Rovers scoring nine goals before being released earlier this week.

Darrell Clarke is expected to sit down with players over the next few days as he decides who to retain/release ahead of summer preparations for next season.
