Rico Henry Set To Follow Smith To Villa?

|

Social media has gone in meltdown today with speculation that former Walsall left back Rico Henry looks set to leave Brentford and link up with former Walsall boss Dean Smith at Aston Villa.

Henry left the Saddlers for Brentford in 2016 for a fee of £1.5m with various sell ons which would total £5m.

Henry became the biggest transfer fee that the Saddlers had received despite the left back only making fifty-seven appearances for Walsall scoring three goals.

Henry has been blighted by injury since his move to Brentford and in just two and half years he has only played twenty-five times in Brentford colours.

Rico has represented England at Under 19 and Under 20 level and Dean Smith is a keen admirer of him.

Former Saddler Romaine Sawyers is also linked with a move to Aston Villa during this transfer window.

Unfortunately we don’t have rumours of players coming in…we could do with a few defenders.
