Injury ravaged midfielder Rory Holden is rumoured to be training with Port Vale ahead of the new season despite being invited to train with the Saddlers who have stuck by him during a torrid 18 months on the injury table.
Holden who initially joined the club on loan in 2019 went onto make 62 appearances for the saddlers scoring six goals.
His recurring knee injury started at the end of 2020 and he missed the latter part of the 2020/21 season and the whole of last season. The Saddlers stuck with him, sent him to various specialists however he has decided to join former boss Darrell Clarke at Port Vale.
Maybe Flynn didn’t see him as part of his plans hence why we signed Isaac Hutchinson? Who knows but Rory turning his back on a club that helped him for many setbacks is poor form and leaves a sour taste.
