Rumours are suggesting Walsall have tonight rejected a move by Championship side Rotherham United for manager Dean Smith.

Smith who is the third longest serving manager in England has earned praise from many in football for his work on a tight budget with Walsall.

Two days ago Smith was linked with Rotherham but this evening HITC have said Walsall have rejected the chance for Smith to talk to the Millers.

It’s understood Smith wants to finish his project with the Saddlers and it would take a higher profile club than Rotherham to turn his head.
