Stoke boss Gary Rowett has today sent his best wishes to Walsall defender Kory Roberts following the news he has a suspected fibula and tibia break suffered during our 3-0 defeat to Stoke City.
Rowett has said he will help the club by sending a youngster on loan to the Saddlers if it’s something the Saddlers wish to follow up.
Speaking to Stoke Sentinel Rowett said
“There was the injury in the second half, which is not what you want to see. I’d have lost the game 5-0 for the lad not to have broken his leg, which it looks like he has done. My heart goes out to him.”
“It’s a real shame and we will try to help Walsall out how we can because I think it’s a very good club for us to form links to.”
Its refreshing to see a manager show compassion and support – nice touch by Stoke City, just hope it isn’t Ngoy.
