Walsall’s 0-0 draw with Port Vale will be seen as frustrating by many, but in reality it has put them one point within Nottingham Forest, which can’t be too bad.
Elsewhere, Leeds 2-0 win over Hartlepool has seens them hit the zero points barrier, which could be bad news for Walsall if they fail to win next week. Carlisle also lost second place in the table, after they were defeated by Tranmere, while early leaders Leyton Orient appear to be setting the pace by going three points clear at the top after a 1-0 win over Bournemouth.
