YEOVIL 1-3 WALSALL (LEAGUE ONE)

After saturday’s disappointing result at Brentford, it was vital that a win at Yeovil was the priority.

With a little bit of help from bad defending, the Saddlers recorded an emphatic victory at Yeovil.

The Saddlers threatened early from the wings, with Stevie Jones’s right wing cross allowing Darren Byfield to head the opener on five minutes.

On 20 minutes, the advantage was doubled after some clever work from Troy Deeney to play in Jones to score the second.

The Glovers got back in the game through Jon Obika on the half hour mark, but Sam Parkin secured the points on 89 minutes to give the Saddlers a rare away victory.

Next up is Saints from Southampton at the Banks’s, with Hutch’s men wanting to continue the winning trend at home.
