Saddlers Eyeing Up Move For Salford Striker?

|

A few sources over on popular Walsall fan site UptheSaddlers suggest the Saddlers are eyeing up a move for Salford and former Bristol Rovers striker Rory Gaffney.

Gaffney is no stranger to Clarke having already playing under the current Walsall boss when the Gas got promoted from League 2 back in 2015.

In total he played over one hundred and fifteen times for Rovers scoring twenty-four goals in League 2 and League 1.

He joined Salford permanently last summer and scored twelve goals for the club during their promotion from the National League.

Gaffney started his career in his Irish homeland playing for Mervue United and Limerick.

He has played over three hundred games during his career scoring seventy-seven goals.

Walsall boss Darrell Clarke has already stated he wishes to bring another striker to the club however it remains to be seen whether we will make a bid for the Irish striker and bid enough to prize him away from big money spending Salford.

We will bring you more information as we get it.
