MILLWALL 2-1 SADDLERS (League One)

I’m back after a short break – still it was ruined by the lack of points from the New Den.

After a bright start, it was a Manny Smith effort that smashed into the roof of the net following a corner from winger Peter Till on six minutes.

However, just as things got hectic in the Saddlers defence after unsure defending from skipper Mark Hughes during an intense first half, the second started with a bang!

In-form Lions striker Steve Morison hit the equaliser on the hour mark with a easy striker, after being put through by Ashley Grimes.

Then the fatal blow came on 76 minutes when Morison completed his brace after being played through to curl a powerful shot past Saddlers keeper Clayton Ince.

It meant the Saddlers had lost ground on the top six and remain four points behind sixth placed Bristol Rovers.
