The Walsall All Stars made their debut at Boldmere St. Michaels Old Boys on Sunday to help raise funds for the John Taylor Hospice.

The team, managed by legend and current assistant manager Martin O`Connor, won 4-2, with past players such as Stuart Ryder, David Kelly, Chris Marsh, and Charlie Ntamark fashioning the Saddlers jersey for the first time in many years.

Ryder was excited about being a Saddler again after an 11-year absence and was delighted at the side`s win.

He told the Walsall`s Official website: “I thoroughly enjoyed it.

“It`s great to meet up with some old faces and get my boots on again.

“I still play five-a-side with my mates to keep myself fit, so I am looking forward to playing regularly with the All Stars.”

The All Stars next fixture see`s them lock horns with the Easy Fit XI at the Banks`s Stadium on Tuesday, May 19th (KO: 7.30pm).
