A pretty market town in the USA….well as much as we are from Poland. So if you want a drink before this international clash whats the best bets.

In all fairness since most Saddlers will be down York Street celebrating the fact that we are not Xmas shopping, a trip down the town centre might not be what is required. However if you want to make the five minute walk, Weatherspoons is well Weatherspoons and a good bet for the usual food. That is if you don’t fancy the Eagle chippy. Also The Eagle, in West Street near to the railway station and The Still in Market Place are both recommended, as well as any Batemans pubs you come across’. Batemans been the local brewer.
Closer to the ground ‘The Coach & Horses on Main Ridge just off York street is the nearest pub to the ground. It serves the excellent Batemans ales, this smallish pub can be very crowded. Probably it is a better bet to carry on down Main Ridge to the Wellington, a larger quieter pub serving hand pulled Mansfield Bitter.

Of course there is the club social and that is probably going to be my stopping point nothing to special but most welcome on what seems to be certain, a foggy cold day in Boston.
